While in the Line command

move your cursor back over the endpoint of the line and sketch out arc.

Just adding a bit to JDs instructions...hold down the left mouse button as you are over the end point of the line then drag the mouse and it will sketch an arc vs a line..

Start the Line command, click to place both ends of the line as normal.  Then (without exiting the Line command) click and drag on the second endpoint to create an arc that is tangent to the line.

Thank you for all your replies!

Now I understand how draw an arc using a line command as a continuation  of a line.

I don't understand how to draw an arc using a line command starting at empty place,

without an end point of the line

Thank you!

@mcgyvr

do you mean that I can't use the "line->arc"  in this case,

and  I should use an arc command?

Right?

Yes.. Creating an arc while in the line command is only possible when there is a line first..

So if you have NO lines then you need to use the arc command itself..
