Hi all,
i'm having issue regarding activation of inventor 2018 on a floating Virtual Desktop environment.
We're using roaming profile and floating virtual machines, and I noticed that part of licensing is saved under c:\programdata\autodesk\.
This folder is not persistent on the machine and is refreshed after logoff of the user.
Every time user login to the VDI he have to register the single user license for inventor, and it works until next logon.
Is it possible to:
- move or changhe the path of the correct folders to a network share in order to be mantained after logoff?
- is there a particular installation procedure / package for this kind of environment?
Thanks.
Carlo.

Carlo,
The licensing files locations can't be changed, to run in a virtual environment you need to be using Network Licensing.
Thanks,
Danny
I understand that network licensing is being discontinued by Autodesk. See: https://www.autodesk.com/campaigns/transition-to-named-user
How will Autodesk support virtual environments after network licensing is gone?
