Leading Zero Suppresion for leaders using model parameter

I want the default to be set to supress leading zeros when using a parameter to fill in a dimension for a leader. Right now I have to RMB and select "Edit Unit Attributes" to deselect leading zeros. (See attached screenshot) Does anyone know where this default setting is located?

Sorry - There is no way to set that default at this time.

Any progress on this?

Why do the default dimension styles not have leading zeros and the model parameters have no way to get rid of it?

Were these things handled buy a couple of guys each working in their own mother's basements?

Seriously, most of the time it looks like people at Autodesk aren't allowed to talk to each other at all.
