.jt files in inventor

Hello, I have received .jt files from a client using Catia and am trying to figure out how to use the dimensions that came with the file in an idw instead of making my own in that sheet. I figured out how to get the views that they sent, but haven't managed to get the dimensions. Any help is appreciated!

I'm not sure if the dims come across as Model definitions, but what if you place the views, and then right click on the base view and choose "Retrieve Model Annotations" Do they appear then?

Thanks for replying, I attempted doing what you instructed but whenever I hit apply nothing appeared. Am I doing something wrong in the Retrieve Model Annotation Prompt?

As mentioned above, I wasn't sure if the dims came across as model definitions, so I was sure if the workflow mentioned would work. Can you share the file to see if we can help?

Sorry for the late reply, yes I can!! I'll send you the original .jt file and the updated .ipt if you need it

Their dims look to be treated differently. I have not messed with JT files much in my career. When we add Model annotations, they fall under the Annotations folder and these have a symbol I have honestly never seen before.. There are not THAT many dims to have to recreate on your model though.

It's alright, I already made the dimensions for most of the parts... I was just wondering if there was an easier way. Thanks for trying!!!

Hi! The imported PMI objects (JT and STEP) are more like graphical representations. They are visible but they are not Inventor MBD/3DA. As a result, they cannot be retrieved in the drawing. You will need to recreate them in Inventor using MBD/3DA workflows. Then they can be retrieved in the drawing.

Many thanks!
