Trying to create a workplane by selecting sketch elements that are within an mid plane extrusion (I have Sketch Display Opacity set to 25%) and the "Select Other" with the dropdown doesn't happen however long I wait. Surely a shortcoming?
Solved! Go to Solution.
What do you have set here in the application options?

It never comes up with the "Select Other" icon - trying to use the measure command between the same sketch elements work i.e. the "Select Other" appears and I can then cycle through the sketch elements I want to measure. It seems it's just not enabled for creating WorkPlanes (unless, of course, i;m missing something! )
No, I get it. You can't see this.
The only other things I can think of is try holding down the control key when selecting.
Or, take a look at this thread.

Thanks Jon,
That did it! Wonder why the Select Other doesn't happen automatically though after the preset time?
Yep, @johnsonshiue normally has all of the answers!
Hi Guys,
You guys are too kind to me. No, it is not true I have all the answers. Actually, I have more questions than answers usually. This particular case has been discussed before (see below link). It seems to be a legacy issue. I check the defect status. It has been marked as fixed for internal build. I am not sure if the fix can be ported back to current releases. Sometimes it could but sometimes it cannot be done. I will check with the project team and see if it is portable.
Many thanks!
Thanks Johnson,
(You do have an awful lot of answers though!!)
I've only started using this recently with the new(ish) sketch opacity option that's why I'd not really noticed before.
It would be useful if the fix could be ported into the current release though,
