Issue with a pattern along a path in Multi-Body

I have always used a pattern along a path when creating belting.. for some reason inventor is not allowing me to actually create this pattern, in all honesty this pattern doesn't have to be dimensionally accurate for anything as it primarily just for representation. I have tried doing this pattern in, the multi-body enviroment, as well as a part level enviroment. but i cant seem to get it to work, it previews fine, but it prompts me with an error when i try.

ive tried different compute methods, and multiple other options to try and get something to function.. but to no avail

i have attached a zip folder containing the Multi-Body as well as the part from the multi body under the folder titled "belt".. any help?

Hi

Are you sure you have defined all the pattern features in the dialog box?

I rewatched your video numerous times... i noticed in the beginning i failed to create a work point.. I did that, and i have the exact same outcome... I also just for reference tried to do a simple straight pattern and i get the same outcome

Hi Dustin,

You will need to select the base point and also the Direction 1 in the expanded Pattern dialog.

Many thanks!
