Hey Guys I have parts with lots of bolted connections and their arrangements are random - Meaning does not follow a pattern . When I was working with Solidworks I used to create sketch points on those holes and I used the sketch Driven pattern in Assembly itself . Does inventor has anything similar like that in Assembly ?

Hi! If I understood your request correctly, you are asking for sketch-driven component pattern, right? So far sketch-driven pattern is feature based, meaning features are patterned according to sketch points in a 2D sketch or 3D sketch. Component pattern is not yet able to pattern components based on sketch points. The way to do it is using feature-pattern driven component pattern.

I assume the holes are patterned as features in a part. Then you can start Component Pattern command -> select the bolt -> Feature Pattern Select -> select the hole pattern in the part -> Ok. The bolt will be patterned based on the holes.

Many thanks!
