Is it possible to select edges or 3D Annotations in Inventor Stack-up tolerance analysis ?

Hi Guys,

 

Consider a stack up analysis to be made for the minimum distance between two holes like shown in the below image.  We found out that only faces can be selected during a Stack-up Tolerance analysis.

 

Is it possible to select edges or 3D Annotations in Inventor Stack-up tolerance analysis ?

You can select edges, but I'm not sure there's any advantage in this case. I recommend selecting the hole faces.
By default, the stackup measurement will be between the hole centers. But you can change that.

  • In the stackup table, left-click on the vertical line that connects the two holes (that line is on the left side of the table).
  • Left-clicking directly on the line should pop up a list of options. Select Near-Near.
  • Do the same thing for the (much shorter) line to the left of the Stackup total result.
