iPart unique member revisions

We have entire product ranges set up using iAssembly/iPart and are running into issues with revision management.  The biggest hurdle we have is that some variants of a product may need to be revised while others do not, e.g. we make a new variant for an order but get a machining detail wrong. In this case we do not need to revise the whole product range but do need correct this model and issue a revised drawing for our suppliers. Has anyone successfully worked around this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Just edit the ipart table and add the "Revision Number" column to the table and update the rev for each member appropriately..

Sorry I should have mentioned we are trying to use vault life cycles to push the revision. I have tested keeping the revisions in the table but the table did not update when I changed the state of the drawing. We may have to run a separate lifecycle for older drawings which does not bump the revision.

Hi Mitchell,

You may need to kick it a bit to trigger the update. Adding the column to the factory and go to Manage -> Rebuild All. I believe all members associated with the factory will need to updated and new property should come along.

Many thanks!

Are you trying to push the Vault Revision data down into the iPart factory and the member drawing iProperties, or are you just trying to show the Vault Revision on the member drawing?
