Inverted part in nesting

I tried to make a nest from multiple parts, then suddenly one of them comes out inverted (holes are solid and solid is void). Why does this happen?

attaching the file that came out inverted in nesting utility below.

Hi @fridtjofZM5ME,

thanks for your attention.

When doing "Add Sources" to sheet metal ipt file, it will use the outer profile of sheet metal as geometry source to do translate,  and outer profile is getting from flat pattern.

For the attached ipt file, in the flat pattern, there is a redundant short line(4 places) in the outer profile, see attached snapshot,  and then when doing Add sources, Nesting Utility detects the outer profile is not a valid profile, and skip it, then using interior profile(the holes) as geometry source.

Please check if the flat pattern can be modified to generate a valid outer profile.

hope it helps. thanks!
