Inventor training

Hi,
we are small team of a 7 engineers from Germany. Just received Inventor 9 and would like to switch form ACAD 2000. Three of us have started with Inventor 9 learning assistant and have made some progress. Now, we should get training course from Autodesk reseller.
Questions:
1. Do you have any experiences where all course visitors are not on the same level?
2. Does it make sense to start with all users from beginning or it is better to split visitors into two groups?
3. What is the best way to become acquainted with Inventor? As I said not all team members are familiar with 3D.

I am going through the same thing here. I have talked to (2) different reseller's that offer training. Both of them are willing to set up a customized training schedule over the course of 4 or 5 days that covers everything that we need. Most of the non-experienced users on the first 3 days and a couple of the experienced but untrained users on the last couple of days. They allow the experienced users to sit in on some of the entry level days if we feel they will be covering a few things that we are not familiar with. Cost is comparable to the standard training, but the course material will be tailored to the types of things we do here. You should talk to your trainer about something like this.

We did the same thing.... A few of us had a 3-day class with IV7 and only "played" with IV after that, using beta releases or trials. We all had ProE experience so the 3D-modeling experience was helpful with learning IV. Just a few weeks ago, we came up with our own customized training over 5 days between AutoCAD Mechanical and IV9. Our reseller sent us their "standard" training detail which we marked up by eliminating some things, adding add'l time to others, etc, etc.

Do the same with your reseller. They'll do it.... A modified training class is better than NO training class (to both of you).

We did split our training to advanced and beginers, would recommend all users from beginning. Theres also no excuse's/cock-ups at later dates!!!

We found our Inventor training to be rather incomplete. We had several experienced 3d users and when we attended the ,"Moving to Inventor," so we didn't need a class on how to do an extrusion or a revolve, what we needed was a class on how Inventor does things differently, eg Project Files. Be sure that your reseller/training center includes an extensive session on how to setup project files
