Inventor Simulation modules

Hello everyone,

I write to the next question. Reviewing the software Fusion 360 has a module to perform simulations in parts and pieces, below is detailed:

  • Static Stress
  • Modal Frecuencies
  • Thermal
  • Thermal Stress
  • Structural Buckling
  • Nonlinear Static Stress
  • Event Simulation
  • Shape Optimization

I would like to know if Inventor Professional performs the same simulation modules, or what advantage does it have in this respect in relation to Fusion 360.

Thanks!

You need Nastran In-CAD to do the simulation types other than Linear Static Stress and Modal analysis in Inventor.

Inventor Professional Dynamic Simulation is usable, the Event Simulation in Fusion is in infancy.

Shape Generator (optimization is also in Inventor).

Frame Analysis is in Inventor.

So that leaves Non-Linear and Thermal (and Hydrostatic) that you need the Nastran In-CAD.

Olá.

In Inventor professional you only have non linear analysis.

You Have also Modal frequencies analysis.

... and Shape optimization

You don't have:

  • Thermal
  • Thermal Stress
  • Structural Buckling
  • Nonlinear Static Stress
  • Event Simulation

...plus others non-linear analysis capabilities.

To have all this you must have Nastran In Cad.

The good news is that Nastran in Cad is now included in the Industry Collection, therefore with more a few euros (regarding Inventor professioonal price) you can have all those analysis ... and more.
