Could someone please supply a white paper on post crash drawing recovery for Inventor Pro 2015?  How to find the temp files containing the .sv$ files and converting them back to .dwg files?

.sv$  Are you using AutoCAD to create your .dwg drawing or are you using Inventor?

Have you installed all Service Packs and Updates for 2015?

Have you checked the OldVersions folder?

Yes,  I'm looking for the automatic saves that I've set to take place every 10 minutes.
Thanks

Inventor doesn't have automatic saves.  It only prompts you to save..

Like @JDMather has indicated..  Are you creating your drawings in Inventor or you are creating your drawing in AutoCAD of your Inventor model?

These links you've supplied are not what we are looking for...    Again we are inquiring for what used to be an automatic update file, of temporary status, within a temp folder under the extension, .sv$.  This file automatically updated your file after a set amount of time. This file could be accessed for post crash recovery and by changing the extension you could regain your work to within minutes of your pre crash version.

If you are knowing what I'm requesting, where would I find this file, in my computer?

You are mixing AutoCAD terms with Inventor.

In Inventor check your OldVersions folder.

I believe my drawing extensions are dwg but autocad is not in my suite.  We have the option to assign either extension; dwg or idw to our drawings.  Again we are inquiring for what used to be an automatic update file, of temporary status, within a temp folder under the extension, .sv$.  This file automatically updated your file after a set amount of time. You might check this information.

Frankly - I save so often that I have never had to resort to an OldVersion of a file.

Fortunately it did not take long to redo the information, we'd lost.   Although some of your information was informative, it was not helpful.  We greatly appreciated your attention and desire to respond.  Perhaps, someday, Inventor will give the user the ability to recover pre crash work through timed automatic update files.

Thanks, Again
