Inventor not rendering parts on dual GPU

Hey there!
I'm having an issue with Inventor 2022 Professional.

When I open the program, everything works normally, until I open a new part (File->New->Standard.ipt). The viewport (where you're supposed to see the part) gets the "Loading... Please Wait." message until the part opens and I can theoretically edit it, only that the viewport is stuck on the Loading message. I see that the part is open (bottom bar) and it behaves normally (I get the "Select plane to create sketch" tooltip after clicking on "Start 2D Sketch").

I have an Acer Aspire VX15 (i7-7700HQ with an GTX 1050TI and 16GB of RAM). Since it can output dual graphics (some programs/parts of the screen can be rendered by the integrated GPU while others can be rendered by the dedicated GPU), I'm assuming that's the problem, as it causes problems for other software as well.

Troubleshooting steps so far:

- Windows Settings: In System->Display->Graphics Settings I have set Inventor to High Performance Graphics (the NVIDIA)

- Inventor Settings: I have set Tools->Application Options->Hardware to Quality

- Confirmed in the same tab that everything renders correctly when "Software Graphics" are checked

It's a relatively new Windows Installation and a fresh Inventor installation. I am on the newest NVIDIA "Game-Ready" driver. I will attach the "diagnostics" text below.

If you have any more hints as to what the problem could be, I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance!

Is this in Windows 11?
Your Inventor version shows as 2022 in the diagnostics, so I would first recommend trying the latest patches: 2022.2 or at least 2022.1. Raw versions are riddled with bugs.

Secondly, you might also want to check if Tools->Application Options->Hardware to "Conservative" helps. And check for graphics driver updates.

Your graphics card is not included here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/certified-graphics-hardware
Which means you may need to use "Software Graphics" as an option for good. It is not because a graphics card is more advanced that it should automatically work on max settings for Inventor. Sometimes things are just incompatible.

Does the nvidia gpu show up in display adapters (device manager)? On my surface book 3, my nvidia gpu just disappears. im guessing its to do with the graphics driver stopping (atleast for my problem). Also, what version windows? Have you checked for latest drivers?

I have been able to solve the problem -- it was likely very specific to my Laptop.

The solution was to install the older Intel VGA driver from the Manufacturer's website.

(This also fixed Minecraft not rendering, I guess that version of the driver just behaves better with the NVIDIA?)

Just curious, can you give us the driver version that was giving you an issue? and what version did you "roll back" to?
