Good Morning All, I'm trying to get a simple inventor file into GIZA. Does anyone know how I should do this? Inventor 2016

What is GIZA?

Why no link to their website?

What file formats does it read?

Do they have a user forum?

@JDMather   I'm thinking the OP is talking about this...

@ferrisb  As JDMather pointed out..  Find out what file format this 3rd party CAD can use and then see if Inventor can export those file types.

Thanks, Giza is for library design. http://www.2020spaces.com/ It can open dwg file types, but they need to be faces. Apparently it only imports dwg or dxf files, but it needs to be faces only.

Save as dwg.

Open in AutoCAD.

Explode

Run the List or Properties command and verify that the geometry is Faces.

Oops, that isn't working - let me try another option.

Thanks JD! I think that's getting me heading in the right direction. 1. Explode the 3D Solid to Regions 2. Use the CONVTOMESH command to convert the Regions to a Mesh 3. Explode the Mesh to create the 3D Faces. This works for pulling the 3d geometry into GIZA. Now I just need to get the named views; top view especially to go into GIZA.
