I'm wondering if there is a way to add material specs to a custom material? I have found how to make custom material but nothing on how to add lets say a QQA or a MIL SPEC to the material.

You can edit the material and use the existing fields to enter your data.  I do not know of a way to add any additional fields.  I would consider using the "Comments" or "Keywords" fields under the Identity tab.  See Screenshot.

You get to these tabs by selecting the material and then left click on the indicated edit pencil. See Screenshot

okay thanks that is what I thought now to see how to get information from comments into notes section of drawing.
