Inventor Make Parameters / Dimensions Dependent On Each Other Within Assembly

Hello, I'm looking for a way to make parameters / dimensions dependent on each other.
Best in an assembly. Sodas I can change only one length of a component and all other lengths of the other components adapt to.
Could someone help me with that?

Hi Theresa,

 

There are primary two ways to do it. You can create a skeletal part or an Excel table with all the parameters you want to drive. Then you link the part (or the Excel table) to the assembly and all the parts you want to create within the assembly. In this way, any change to the skeletal part or the Excel table will propagate to all part within the assembly.

Another way is to use iLogic rule in an assembly. In an iLogic rule, you can easily access all parameters in each component within the assembly. You can do things like Parameter1 in PartA equals to Parameter2 in PartB.
