I had looked that over before and still not sure.

BTW, I know nothing of Inventor or any of these types of software. I am a programmer who has been asked to build software to automate getting parts from Inventor files to insert into a database.

If it requires the opening of Inventor assembly files, then LT won't work as it only handles individual parts.
