Inventor LT 2018 sheet metal support

I researched the Inventor LT 2018 help website and found that it lists sheet metal parts.  See screen capture I attached. Was sheet metal part functionality added to Inventor LT 2018?

Thank you,

As far as I know Inventor LT doesn't support sheet metal.  The LT help can be confusing at times because its actually using the Inventor help information.  The section you are in is really related to the full version of Inventor.

I was so close to signing up for the Inventor LT / AutoCAD LT subscription for personal use, but the lack of any assembly support is a deal killer for me.  The last time I had Autocad LT was years ago.  This combination subscription option is very tempting, but I could not bring myself across the finish line.  Hopefully soon some basic assembly support would be included.

Get Fusion 360.. Its got all you likely need (sheet metal..assemblies.. simulation..cam..etc..) and is FREE for personal use...

See here..

https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview

Scroll down and see "Free For Startups and Hobbyists" <--Thats you 🙂

Not to mention that if you have Inventor at work and your company isn't the devil then they should allow you to install it at home also.. Which your license allows 2 versions (one at work and one at home) provided both aren't used at the same time..

Its silly to pay for Inventor/Autocad personally..

Well, I wouldn't call spending money for Inventor LT silly, it really depends on what your situation is.

I prefer not to have my design data on any cloud other than my own.  That alone rules out Fusion.

I use Inventor and AutoCAD at work, so Inventor LT and AutoCAD LT combo would be a natural fit at home.

Home licensing has been used in the past, but at expiration time it means no access to your own data.  Of course if you install the next version's home use licensing then that issue goes away for another year.

So for those reasons, I am willing to pay for the Inventor LT/AutoCAD LT combo, but as I mentioned, no assembly support keeps me from actually signing up.

Thanks again for the info..
