Inventor Large Assembly Drawing Performance TOO SLOW

I'm DYING! I'm trying to make a drawing of a large assembly but my computer is STRUGGLING to function... This can't be normal. I have a BOXX computer that is only about a year old. There's no way I can live with it taking so long to open and do any normal/typical commands.

I've searched for this issue but it doesn't seem like anything truly works... I could really use some help with this.

Please and thank you!

If all the files reside with a single project file it's easy to have Windows display/sort by date. Then just copy the current modified files back to the server.

I use a utility program call "ViceVersa". It allows a date/database which will sync files back and forth based on their date. I keep the same file/folder structure on my laptop and home office machine as at work.

I'm able to keep all the files properly updated based on their dates on each of the machines. Much tougher having to go through each fold and file and manually doing it. We don't use Vault as I'm the only user of Inventor.

I'm going to look up that software now. I need to figure out how to get back onto the server today. Thanks!

Pack & Go is very straightforward to me.

Addition to what others have suggested and based on your description, there are something you may need to take care of

1) Pack & Go to your local folder.

Ensure the "Keep Folder Hierarchy" option is selected.

2) Pack & Go to network server

Also ensure the "Keep Folder Hierarchy" option is selected.

Take a small assembly file for practice if you are not confident.
