Inventor keep using the wrong units

I created a new standard part, the units in document properties are in inches, the drawing is in inches, the standard is ANSI, everything is in inches, then explain why the units for the hole and thread notes are in millimeters ?

Hi! This usually means that the thread spec is from mm-based thread table. I don't think Inventor convert the thread spec unit based on the document unit. Inventor does support mixed unit modeling. You will need to edit the hole feature and change it to an inch-based thread spec. If this is not your case, please provide the example so forum experts can comment further.

Many thanks!

Hello @Anonymous it doesn't look like you have the thread showing on the drawing like mine has the double lines below, did you turn them off?

There could be a few places to look at controlling this value.

I had to uncheck "part units" in the Notes and Leaders for it to work. However, the part units are in inches, and by letting the box checked, it put the note in millimeters.

I joined the files, from the document property, it is set to inches...

Thanks for getting back to me @Anonymous, that is odd.

When in the drawing if I R+Click on the note and uncheck Use Default and check Part Units it turns to mm. If I go back in and check/uncheck anything in the Precision and Tolerance area it changes to inches, but uncheck it doesn't go back to mm regardless of anything I try.

If I go into Styles Editor and select Apply to All with the same Part Units checked it changes to inches so I think something was not updating correctly.

It's in the 2016 release, I'll send over to the development team make sure that it is known. Thanks!
