Inventor is too slow when VPN connection lost - Vault Project

I do my work over a VPN connection to a Vault server - but this drops in and out as I work overseas.

Inventor basically comes to a standstill when the connection is lost. It makes any actions terribly slow. I guess Inventor is trying to look for some information.

I don't know why thought because the file I'm working on are all local of course.

If I exit the Vault project then it runs perfectly fine, so I know its this that's the issue. What actions is Vault trying to do and how can I stop them? Its slowing my workflow down massively!

I should add that I have read this and all my design data, Content Center, etc. are all locally copied from the Vault.

It is only the Vault project itself which is on the server.

Is it just as slow when you work with a borrowed license?

I thought borrowing a license was a thing of the past these days. The license manager is now done over the network, but you might be right I've wondered if it could be this.

Do you know any way to check if the license being pinged is the difficulty I'm having here?
