Inventor IFC 4.0

Hello Community

First of all sorry for any flaws in my english, i am not a native speaker.

But getting to my question i was curious if the Inventor will get an IFC 4.0 export feature anytime soon. Or does it already have one and i am too bilnd to see it? Maybe there is a workaround on how to make my parts IFC4.0 ?

If it is not possible yet , did AD ever mentioned anything about Inventor and IFC? This info is kinda critical for us

When i was searching online, all i found was stuff about Revit but we dont have or will ever get Revit since it is not really in our companys field.

Thanks in advance for answers

Hi! Please take a look at the following thread.

Many thanks!

@johnsonshiueIMHO that is not a solution to the question. @Anonymous was asking for an IFC 4.0 *export*  feature, specifically stating the company he works for will never acquire Revit. And then you post a link to a thread about *importing* IFC, using Revit.

Please have another go at the request about *exporting* IFC 4.0 from Inventor *without Revit*.

Hi Jaap,

Absolutely, it isn't the solution. I did not mark my reply as a solution. Please feel free to unmark it. But, before Inventor can import IFC directly by itself, Revit is still needed for this purpose. Also, I would argue that Revit is a must in the related workflows sooner or later.

Many thanks!
