Inventor freezing

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with Inventor freezing when I want to open or save files for the first time I started the Inventor.

When I got this problem the first time I had the Microsoft account instead of the free one and the I change it it solved the problem but now it started to happen again. Maybe someone had a similar problem and has a solution to it?

Do you use two monitors or a laptop docking station? Make sure it is not a hidden prompt by pressing ALT+SPACE, then M key, then directional arrows, then move your mouse to bring any back into your display area.

No there are no hidden windows.

Hi! Please make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and the graphics driver is updated. Clean up %temp%. Install all Inventor updates applicable to your release.

 

If nothing above helps, go to Tools -> App Options -> General -> uncheck "Show My Home on startup." Go to Assembly tab -> uncheck "Enable Express mode."

No still the same when I push the open button at the first stat it still freezes for 1 min or so

Hi! I am still clueless on this one. Try running Inventor as Admin (right-click on Inventor desktop icon -> Properties -> Compatibility -> "Run as Admin"). I suggest you download Microsoft Process Monitor (or Process Explorer) tool and look at the detail of Inventor.exe. It may help pinpoint where the problem is during the hang.
