Inventor freezing when opening new file dialogue box

Hi all,

I have installed inventor 2022 professional on my new laptop, which installed fine. However, when i try to create a new file the dialogue box just freezes. I have read that it can be an antivirus issue, so i unistalled my free trial of McAfee live safe, but this has made no difference. Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Do you use multiple monitors in your Inventor setup?  Also, are you using Vault with Inventor?  This looks like it could possibly be a dialog box that is opened either on another monitor or behind the Inventor opening screen.
Can you try using "alt-tab" to cycle through open dialogs, and see if there is one open in the background someplace?

See if this helps... run Inventor as an administrator and, at the shortcuts section, add a file path to the inventor templates. As seen here:
