Inventor: Exporting drawing into PDF

Dear All!

I have a problem regarding exporting .idw into PDF format. When I use the regular line weight settings the drawing in pdf is usually not so good, the lines are too thick and sometimes I can not see the details of a View.

If I click on the "Remove object line weights" then it's better, but with this all of the lines are the same. That's also not good.

I think there is a problem with exporting because 0,7 mm line thickness is considered as normal according to the standard.

Attached photos,

Thanks for the help,

Benjamin

Hello @veghb

Thanks for your post and the screenshots.

I'd suggest increasing the PDF vector resolution.

  • Export as PDF
  • In the save as dialog box click on Options
  • Increase the Vector resolution (up to 4800 DDI)

Another thought, are you saving to pdf or printing to pdf?  I have more success with printing to pdf.

Also, what pdf software are you using?  I use CutePDF and it works very well.

Windows 10 x64 -16GB Ram
Intel i7-6700 @ 3.41ghz
nVidia GTS 250 - 1 GB
Inventor Pro 2018
