Inventor Export Format For Print Studio Scales Up .stl File

When I import a file from instructables.com to print studio it automatically scales it up for some reason so it's not printable.  Another .stl from the same project printed fine.  When I open it in Meshmixer or the Dremel 3D software it is the right size.  As soon as I drag and drop it into print studio it scales up in size.  I've tried directly importing it into print studio and saving the file to desktop and then importing it and same thing.  Any suggestions?  New to this...

Hi Jason,

STL file is unit less. Inventor geometry is true scaled. So, you need to make sure the export unit is in sync with your printer unit. Most 3D Printer uses mm as unit. If I were you, I would go to Tools -> Document Settings -> Units -> change the length unit to mm. Then when you export the file to STL, set unit in the Options in the Export dialog to mm.

Many thanks!

When exporting you can change some of the settings in the Save As > Save Copy As > Options...
