Inventor Dynamic simulation_Table tipping test

Hi masters,

Could you help to guide me how to simulate when table tipping using inventor dynamic simulation.

Material: wood; the force would be 57kg

I have attached the ipt file

Have you tried it yourself?

Where is your assembly with Gravity, Spatial and 2D or 3D Contact Joints?

hi @JDMather ,

I did the test on inventor, it says Passed (table does not tips) but in actual we found that it failed with very big variance

COG still inside the table

Revolution Joint in combination with 3D Contact does not make logical sense.

The leg immediately intersects into the floor with the Revolution Joint.

Use Spatial instead of Revolution and you could have simply applied a Force rather than adding the 57kg component.

Could you guide me how to insert the right Spatial joint, I tried but its not show the right one

I did a test3 following your suggestion, the table tipped at 470N, but when test in reality, it tipped at 330N
