Inventor Drawing Internal Thread Marking While Placing Views

Hello everyone, I'm having a bit of a problem with thread marking. Basically, whenever I create an inner thread, the thread shows as outer while placing views. I'm relatively new to Inventor, so I don't know if there is any other way to mark all threads inside of the circle (as I'm told in the university)? In drafting standards. An internal or female threaded hole will show the dashed or circle to represent the thread portion you can't see. That's why you see it like that in the view. An external or male thread is the opposite way. Your school studies should be teaching your some drafting standards and not just buttons in CAD.

See figure 5 here: http://courses.me.metu.edu.tr/courses/me117/Lectures/screw_threads.htm to understand how simplified thread representation is created in drawing (views).

Hello @Anonymous I see that you are visiting as a new member to the Inventor Forum.
Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Are you trying to change the scale of the dashed line to fit better?

StylesDash.pngYou can also change the Layers > Layer Styles > Line Type to fit as well.

I don't know if you have any experience with creating threads, but the center hole is created first, then a secondary operation comes in and cuts the thread into the hole.

You can notate the thread from Annotate > Feature Notes > Hole and Thread.
