Inventor Drawing - Break and Crop

Hello!

After taking a section and then Breaking it ("Break") the "Crop" command doesn't work. Is it a bug or why eventually the "Crop" can't be used on the section that has been "Break"?

Not "Break alignment" but Break view.

Combination of Section, Break View and Crop doesn't work.

Confirmed in 2023 that this combination does not work.  Also tried Section, Crop and then Break.  This does not work either.  @johnsonshiue is this as designed?

Is it possible in theory for Autodesk to issue an update for Inventor 2022 fixing this issue?

Hi All,

It's per design. A view which has one or more breaks cannot be cropped. It's been like that since crop views were introduced. Both those operations trims the boundaries of the views resulting in things being clipped away and doing one introduces limitations/problems for the other type.

In the link below, the first section describes what views can be cropped.

Thanks
