Inventor crashed

Good afternoon! I installed the Inventor version for students, but I have a problem with it. When I start the program, I get the start page, but when I try to start creating the part, the Inventor closes. Tell me what to do? And can this be due to the fact that I have a "weak" laptop?

Welcome to the Autodesk community.

Inventor version?   What updates have you applied to your Inventor?

Operating system?

Inventor version - Inventor Pro 2020

No updates, just installed and the program says that no updates are needed.

Windows 10.

What says there's no updates?   If you are using the desktop app for this, don't..  Its unreliable.

Install Inventor 2020.2 and then 2020.2.1.

Look in manage.autodesk.com/product updates and search for Inventor 2020

Update to version 2020.2.1. did not help. Problem still exists. The program crashes when I try to start work. But the training section opens normaly.

In Inventor

Go to tools... application options...hardware tab and check the box for "use software graphics".

THEN RESTART INVENTOR..

Is that better?

If so that indicates the crash is related to your graphics card/driver and you should try to update the graphics card driver and then try to turn that "use software graphics " checkbox OFF and restart Inventor..

You don't want to run all the time with that box checked as performance is effected.

When I try to enter the application options, the program has closed again!

Try again?

Are you getting a "Crash Report" dialog box where you can submit your email? If so have you done that?

Hi! Please make sure the graphics driver is up-to-date. When it crashes, please send in the crash report with your email address. After you submit it, please send me an email (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com). I would like to understand the crash better.

Many thanks!
