Inventor color-background image gone on refresh part?

Hello, I have a bug/problem that is been bothering me for a while.

I have set a custom background set in my application options.
When i see a old file (not in a library)  in my Vault browser, i can refresh the file without problems.

But when i drag a file from the vault library from the vault application to my assembly in inventor, it gets placed , and i get a warning with file location in  %temp%/somewhere

I can deal with that, because if i refresh the part, it updates the file location to where it should be.

But when i click Refresh file suddenly my background is gone and i get the default background again

Maybe this way of placing files from vault is not the correct way, but i still don't understand why a file refresh can change the application options.

What happens if instead of dragging it from Vault, you place it from vault through the insert on the Assembly tab?

Regardless, this should not happen no matter how you bring this part in.  Was this part created by you?  Or was it created outside your company and maybe brought some links with it?

The Part i want to place/refresh is a Inventor made part by a my predecessor. No links or anything, a standalone model. (electrical component)

When i use the place from vault command in the assembly tab, it knows the correct path, and there is nothing to refresh. It just gets placed without problems.

Then,  if that works, maybe you have your solution.

I would't call it a solution. I still think its weird behavior from inventor to revert my settings.

But I understand that dragging from the vault window is not the best practice to place parts,
It just happens I use the vault application a lot for searching parts, so I don't like to search them again within Inventor.

What version are you using?  Seems like there was an issue that got resolved.

Inventor professional 2018.3 and Vault basic 2018.

Seems I dont have the inventor 2018.5 update or the vault 2018.3 update yet.  I will install them next week.
