Try open DWG in Inventor.

You might need MDT (AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop) if the DWG is from MDT.

iges is surface only.

Try export to STEP instead.

No, Iges export solid too, I already export a thousand models in iges and the solid comes right away.

This is some kind of BUG, and AUTOCAD doesn't export in step.

Try open DWG in Inventor.

You imported the DWG into drawing file.

Try import DWG into part file.

@marcosinvest

1. Your geometry is a longgg ways from the Origin.

2. You can open Import the geometry directly in Inventor - no need to save in different file format.  (After, of course, moving the geometry to the Origin in AutoCAD.)

I chose to Import as an Assembly, but I could have selected Single Part.

Agreed with @TheCADWhisperer . The objects are too far away (somewhere to the order of 7,880,566,979 units). Just select all inside AutoCAD and move the objects to 0,0,0 or some position close to the origin. Then you can either Import directly into Inventor do a Step out.
