Inventor Bug - Deleting A Part, Assembly or Drawing From the Home Page

Hi Guys,

I've searched the forums for anything on this subject and came up empty, so I'm posting it here as a bug report.

I'm currently using Autodesk Inventor 2025.2.1 - Build 293

The issue - as stated in the Title, is that whenever you delete any file from the home screen when in tile mode it disables mouse-wheel scrolling until another part, assembly or drawing is opened and you must use the side bar to scroll. While this is a minor issue (like the dialog box resize retention issue), it is rather annoying.

@IST-WK @johnsonshiue I am seeing the same behavior.  Like the OP mentioned, minor, unless you need to scroll through hundreds of parts.

Hi @IST-WK,

Thanks for your report! I've also reproduced this issue when using the 3-dot menu and created a defect for the team to investigate (INVGEN-82756).

Maybe you're already aware, but if I right clicked on a file and hit "Remove from Recent"  or if I checked multiple files and used the bulk "Remove from Recent" near the top of AppHome, I didn't see the issue. Hopefully this workaround helps in the meantime.

Best,

Rena

Hi @rena_andrews ,

It happens when I right click on them and use the "Remove from Recent" as well.

After opening any file, the functionality returns.

Cordially,

Will

@IST-WK Hello... I am marking the post above by @rena_andrews just so others may see that Autodesk is aware of the problem.

I'd love to hear if anyone else has found a similar workaround?

@CGBennerI don't know why you'd do that when the problem still exists, and as yet has not been fixed.  When a solution is offered by an Autodesk Engineer, then it would be considered "solved", however it's not fixed so it's not "solved".

I disagree with your choice.

@IST-WK

Hello.  I respect that. Threads in these forums may have multiple solutions, so this is in no way a closed discussion. I simply thought that others might be interested in knowing that our product teams are aware of the problem and looking into it.  Thank you.  🙂
