Hello all,

Our company is going to attend R+ T next week and i was wondering if there is a way similar to Autodesk online viewer to show to our customers our products.

I have prepared our 3d models and uploaded and ready to run through Autodesk Viewer, with a tablet and cast that to a big screen to explain on the spot to our customers.

My fear is that all this depends to a good internet network. What will happen if internet fail or connection is slow?

Is there a way to show our customers our 3d models without the use of internet or having inventor installed on another pc or machine?

Is there an android app for that?

Is there a way to run autodesk viewer locally?

Yes, you can have Inventor working only as a viewer, even if you don't have an license available.

Start INVENTOR READ ONLY:

You can install Inventor Read Only without full Inventor too. Go to manage.autodesk.com and go to Inventor as if you were going to install the full version. Next click on customise on the dropdown under Inventor.
On the next screen you can choose to install read only as stand alone.

I don't think you can run online viewer without the internet, you can test it obviously by using flight mode to see if it caches but you don't really want to rely on that in case the cache gets deleted before you get to your destination.
You could try using 'Send to Fusion' and then using the Fusion iPad app, although I couldn't tell you if that requires the internet or if it will download to your iPad on first view.

Try using Design Review (if you save assemblies/3D in DWF format, they are even more compact and lightweight) or Navisworks Freedom. Both are free to download.
