Inventor 2026 styles migration - NewStylesLibrary?

Hi,

Does anyone know where are xml files which should be in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2026\Bin\_NewStylesLibrary? I cannot find them, and I can't migrate my styles because of inconsistent versions in Design Data xmls and the ones from _NewStylesLibrary (probably).

Hi! This is a change in behavior in 2026. These files are all contained in the Inventor dlls now. They are no longer separate files on disk.

Many thanks!

OK. How can I fix the problem with migration loop? I keep getting message that some of style libraries need migrating, and after migration this message keeps coming back. For earlier versions of Inventor we had to correct version numbers in some xml files (for example studioscene.xml), but now those files do not exist. The message says that styles that need migration are: Dimension, Part List and Standard.

Hi! The behavior does not sound right to me. If possible, please zip up the \Design Data\ folder on your machine and share it with me at johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I would like to understand the style library migration issue better.

Many thanks!

I have not migrated to 2026 yet, but if we keep design data in vault, how does this new configuration work with this type of set up? If I need to make a change to say a parts list, I would check out the required XML files to make the change, and update, and check files back in. What would be the new workflow, just check out the dlls? Just asking in advanced lol.

Hi Brad,

The change isn't about how style xml files work. It is about how Inventor compares styles. These xml files used to be in the "_NewStyleLibrary" folder contain only one line information, which is the schema version. They are not the actual style xml files.

Many thanks!
