Inventor 2026 refuses to import .stp or .igs files.

We recently upgraded from 2024 to 2026.1.1.  At first it refused to import .stp or .igs files but would import .sldprt files no problem.  I used the Inventor reset utility and then it worked fine until the next day (nothing changed that I'm aware of) and it won't work again.

When I try to import, it just does nothing at all.  I've tried many different files and all the various ways (through the import menu, drag and drop etc.)  It just completely ignores me.

Has anyone else had this happen, any ideas?  Any help much appreciated.

Nevermind, I found the problem but here it is in case anyone else runs into it.

The Ansys 2025R2 addin that shares files with Ansys is causing the issue.  I have to block it and restart Inventor and then import of .stp and .igs work fine.  Seems they have a bug that didn't exist in 2024.

I found the same - and Testet ANSYS 2024R2, ANSYS 2025R1 and ANSYS 2025R2.
unloaded  - import export works fine 
loaded addin - import export shows error (dwg even crushes Inventor)

In addition I have installed Inventor 2025 - Export works fine with all ANSYS Versions!
