Inventor 2026 Issues – Sketch Editing and Measure Tool Window

Hello,
I recently installed Inventor 2026 and during daily use I noticed two issues. The first occurs when I click on the face of any part and the floating menu with quick-edit tools appears. The tools are simply not clickable.

The second issue I noticed is when using the measure tool. When activated, a box silhouette appears next to it. At first, I thought it was a graphical issue, but it happens on all my monitors. I don’t rule out a graphical problem entirely, but it seems more like a bug.

I'm attaching videos related to these issues.

Best regards!

Hi!

I'm using version 2026.1 and i'm not having those issues, so is not a software bug:

Probably you need to update the graphic´s card driver.
Also, it's available an Inventor service pack (2026.1)... did you install it?

We don't see any dialog-box or messages when we record our screen.
You should probably change the settings in your recording app first.

Hi,

I'll redo the installation to see if the problem can be fixed, but thanks for your reply! 🙂

I ended up only seeing it after I uploaded the videos, sorry. Now I can't even open Inventor anymore, I think my installation is bugged.

Hi Julian,

It may not be an install issue. It may be display related. Before trying to uninstall, I would make sure all the critical Windows updates, the latest graphics driver, and all the critical PC vendor updates are installed. Go to Windows Display settings and select the recommended resolution and scale. Right-click on Inventor desktop icon -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Change High DPI settings -> check both boxes.

If you are using dual monitors, please make sure the one hosting Inventor is the main display.

Many thanks!
