Inventor 2026 Automatic name changing

When I place a profile from the Content Center and choose the As Custom option, it allows me to change  and save the part with a custom name. However, when I modify the length, Inventor changes the part names in the browser tree and also updates the part number. Why does this happen?

Probably because the Family Table specifies that the Display Name and Part Number are constructed using the length.  Are you using one of the profiles from the installed libraries, or is it a custom one?  What version of Inventor?
