Inventor 2024, what happened to 'hole preview'?

Fumbling my way through our recent update from 22 to 24'.....

Realizing that now 'hole preview' is gone?  Inventor used to 'auto-project' the geometry onto your part, before actual command execution. There was a little check box to turn it on/off.

Can anyone confirm this? Or has some mundane setting been changed/moved I'm not aware about.

Thanks!!

Is this at the Part or Assembly environment?

See if these are set for you:

I am working with a weldment assembly.

All settings are the same as yours; 'cross part geometry projection' check boxes are both checked. Same with autoproject and sketch origin.  Appreciate the help and great pics!!

Anyone else?

Has Autodesk just eliminated this feature, thinking the utility was just a hassle for people with weak graphics/hardware?

Hi! Are you talking about Bolted Connection? Or it is the regular Hole feature?

Many thanks!

@dwiSHLMX

Can you Attach assembly (or dummy assembly) that exhibits this behavior?

Can you include screenshot of what you see on your machine Shift Win S and Ctrl v in a Reply...

Appreciate the response! OK here goes:

Problem looks exactly as you've shown: hole command activated, but all we're seeing is a wireframe projection, NOT a preview of what it looks like, actually breaking the surface of the model.

Hi! Unfortunately, that is how the hole feature preview looks like at the assembly level.

Many thanks!
