Inventor 2024, is it only me or anyone experiencing the issue where corner seam doesn't work as it should? Please check my video

I would assume some other settings like "Minimum Remnant " is overriding the seam.

I am not sure about Minimum Remnant. I have just tried in IV2020 and increased the Remnant to the obscene number yet the corner seam is not affected by it. It is hard to tell without looking at the sheet metal settings in the OP's file.

Cheers,

Igor.

Please check the sheet metal template. I tested with a default Inventor 2024 sheet metal template with no difference

Something may have changed but it is an interaction between the corner with the original flange and the replaced corner with the seam tool.

Try increasing the gap with the flange tool, the seam then works.

Also, if you change to "tear" for the relief shape, it will work.

@BDCollett Thanks, changing to Tear temporarily fixes the issue, I could not find any other changes in the sheet metal template that used to work fine in Inventor 2023

Nothing works for us. This needs sorting out quickly. We use this function a lot of the time.

If you can be more specific, that will help with them fixing any bugs or issues that may exist.

It appears some of the sheet-metal tools have become pickier, but they still work as far as I can tell.

Facing the same issue. Miter/ Rip/ Seam Gap custom values does not work for rounded, square and trim-to-bend corner relief shapes for INV 2024. Even the overlap not working. Same template settings work correctly for 2023 and older versions.

Hi! We are aware of a regression in Corner Seam relief shape. If possible, please share an example that exhibits the behavior here or send it to me. I would like to double-check and see if it is the same known issue that we are trying to resolve.

Many thanks!

Quick test between 2023 and 2024.

Flange x2 , Auto Mitre 3mm gap with Arc Weld relief.

Then Corner seam, 0.1mm gap, Round relief.

2023:

2024:

It does not create the seam. The Preview shows that it is there.

There seems to be some inconsistencies and it's hard to test everything.

Hi!

Thanks for reporting this issue and for your patience.

We have fixed this issue in our internal build. We are planning to include the fix in update of Inv 2024.

Here is how corner seam looks in internal build with this specification:

Flange x2 , Auto Mitering,  3mm gap with Arc Weld relief.

Then Corner seam, 0.1mm gap, Round relief.

Thanks

Maulik

The corner overlap command (Corner edit dialogue box) which is present within the Flange command works as intended.

But the separate Corner_Seam command is not able to modify the overlap.
