Inventor 2024.1.1 iCopy using a top-down (Multi Body Solid) assembly Fails

Hi,

when using iCopy combined with an assembly that is created through the top-down method, it fails to place it according to the user input ( I have two versions of this, one that is parametric, and the second one that has a fully unconstrained layout for geometric placement and both fail)

all files are attached.

I also have another example with a bottom-up assembly that includes some iLogic rules, the placement works flawlessly, however, none of the rules run automatically, you need to open each iCopy instance and force the rules to run, I haven't tried with external rules yet. if anyone can share their experience with this would be great, I should  probably create another post for the iLogic one if need be.

Hi Ali,

Again, I could be wrong since I get mixed up with issues. But I don't recall any change in "Ground and Root." The only thing is that there are checkbox options (Ground at origin, Create origin flush constraints, and Reposition to the top of the browser). There could be change in the default. In your case, you probably want to uncheck "Ground at origin" and check "Create origin flush constraints."

Many thanks!
