Kindly let me know if Inventor will run on a laptop with the below specifications. My concern is majorly on the Graphics adaptor.

  • Intel Core i7, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, 32GB Intel storage acceleration, Integrated Intel UHD Graphics, Windows 10 Professional.

I don't think there is a easy answer.  The look at the System requirements for Autodesk Inventor 2021.

I would think you would want a dedicated graphics not Integrated Intel UHD Graphics.

Also what Integrated Intel UHD Graphics is it?  Also what are your plans on using Inventor.  Are you going to design something simple with say max of say 30 parts.  I have Inventor in a VM for home use which works fine for small projects.  What I would do is look up the Integrated Intel UHD Graphics equivalent. Then see what the equivalent costs and benchmarks.  I would say if the cost is like $100 then you need more.

Short answer is, it depends. Long answer is more detailed. What are you planning on modeling with Inventor? I've used some pretty basic machines running smaller assemblies, even used some new low-level "gaming" machines with no dedicated graphics card to work with assemblies in the hundreds to low thousands for part counts with some automation driving it. That ended up getting fairly taxing as the automation got more complex and assemblies got larger though. Of course the standard recommendation is to follow the hardware requirements set forth by Autodesk. Hope this helps!
