Inventor 2021 Sluggish & Non responsive on saving IDW files.

Inventor runs great on my machine up to a point where its all too much to hande.

I have to shutdown, and restart inventor. After opening inventor and the files I was previously working on, I cannot save the files, blue cirlce keeps spinning and Inventor is not responsive.

Task manager will not even end the process.

Only wat to close inventor down is to restart the machine.

Hi! Are the files stored locally or on a shared network drive or a cloud drive? Does it happen to any idw file or one particular idw file? Are there shaded views in the drawing? Try a few things and see if it makes a difference.

1) Install all critical Windows updates and update graphics driver.

2) Go to File Explorer -> %temp% -> clean up all files there.

3) Go to Tools -> App Options -> Assembly -> uncheck "Enable Express mode."

4) Open the drawing and go to Tools -> Doc Settings -> Drawing -> Shaded View -> Bitmap resolution -> change it to lower value.
