Inventor 2019 Bug: Assembly Section View Cannot See Lines Between Parts

Hi. When making section views in assemblies, I cannot see lines between parts. It seems a whole single part.

How can I fix this?

Check picture in attachment. Black lines delimiting parts is missing.

2019 now has default same color for edges you must change it to black.

Hi! There was an issue in graphics section view when Texture is off. It has been fixed on 2019.1 update. Have you applied the update?

Many thanks!

@johnsonshiueIs it smart to tell users to install a update that has more issues?

35 crashes so far with that update so not sure if I would be selling it.

Hi Marco,

Maybe I misunderstood the issue. Do you have Texture option set to On (View -> Texture)?

Many thanks!

No. I dont use textures. Its a 2019 bug. How can it be reported?

Hi! Let me reconfirm with you. It does not really matter if the appearance style has texture or not. After you open the assembly, go to View -> Texture option. Is it on or off? If it is off, please turn it on. Then, do you see a difference in terms of section behavior?

Many thanks!

Hi. Please check attached picture.

You can see the option with textures on / off and the lines missing.

4 computers with different hardware configurations have same problem.

Only thing I see in common, is that they all have nvidia cards.

I sometimes get this if my parts are interfering with eachother? Might be a shot.

It doesnt have interference. It is face 2 face.

Can anyone explain me how I can file a bug report to get Autodesk help? I can log anything as asked.

Hi Marco,

Please feel free to contact Autodesk Subscription Support by logging on your Autodesk account to report the issue. In the meantime, I will work with the project team to understand this behavior better.

Many thanks!

Hi Marco,

I have contacted the project team. It looks like a known regression in 2019.1 update. It was reported as INVGEN-16077. It has been fixed internally and the fix is targeted for 2019.2 update

Many thanks!

Thank you!

Can I test that update as beta tester?

Its not released a beta yet, but maybe some other way?

Thanks!

Hi Marco,

Sure, you can sign up Inventor Beta program. The latest future release is available for Beta testing. But, I am not sure if the fix is available on that build. Regarding 2019.2 testing, the Beta build is not yet ready. It should be ready within a few months and will be available on Beta site for testing before being released.

Many thanks!
