Inventor 2018 does not open. Small white box in task bar.

When I'm away from my docking station I sometimes cannot open Inventor 2018.  There is a small white box that can be seen when hovering over the icon in my task bar.  See attachment.  I never have the problem when docked.

When you are away from the dock, do you still have an internet connection?

Some inventor add-ons like CAM or NESTING need the internet connection to validate the license.

Yes I have internet when away from docking station. If no internet connection I get a license error.

With your docking station, is there another monitor hooked up that you usually use with Inventor?

Yes. I believe I have found that the problem is with my video card. When I hook up an external monitor to my laptop and close my laptop then Inventor is displayed as normal. Then I open my laptop and it's working there too.
