Inventor 2018 crashen when opening any file

Hello,

I got the educators licence to work in Inventor at an Internship at Uni, and I installed Inventor overnight. Now I have the problem where Inventor crashes whenever I try to load or open a file or an assembly. I have enough RAM, so that shouldn't be an issue. I don't know what I have to change for Inventor to function correctly. Whenever it crashes there is no error popup, and I don't know where to access a crash log to check.

Hi Anton,

When it crashes, did you send the crash report with your email address? If yes, please send me an email (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com). I would like to understand the crash better.

In the meantime, please make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and graphics driver is updated. And, install 2018.3 update followed by 2018.3.7 update.
