Inventor 2017 Half Section View Bug

Self explanatory, love that pattern, but not that much.  I have a model open (nice gondola rail car) with a half section view pushed to the surface of a 3D solid object.  And after a bit of panning, and zooming, I get stuck with this, until I turn off half section view.  This has happened 3 times now.

Inventor Professional 2017 (Build 199, 2017.2.1) 64bit.  Windows 10 (Enterprise, Anniversary, updated).  NVidia Quadro K5200, updated last to 369.09.  In an HP Z440 workstation.  32 GB DDR4 Ram.

Has anybody seen it before, or have any fixes?  And don't suggest I run software graphics, it would take all day just to view this file!

This seems to have gotten worse for some reason, now every section view causes a problem, even when switching between shaded, and shaded with edges.

I've just tried updating to latest Nvidia driver 376.84 for my M1000M card.

No difference, then tried the latest one off the Inventor hardware site 361.91 but no difference.

This ghosting and now ghost plane issue in sections, has been around since Inventor 2014, not sure why it's taking so long to resolve. Probably because all the Inventor programmers have been taken off to work on Fusion 360... 😞

If there is a cosmetic weld bead, I know that will cause it (see screen cast here).  I have also seen it on occasion when there was no cosmetic weld bead also.... very annoying.

Check to see if there is a cosmetic weld bead in your model. if so, suppress it before you do the section.

Right, i had the same problem. i suppressed the cosmic welding and the bug is gone! please fix autodesk...

This is great progress lets hope they can sort it with all the other glitches! Inventor 2010 was much more seamless and user friendly than 2017. Don't get me started on balloons, feature control frames and leaders in drawings.

This appears to have been fixed with the release of 2017.4.
