I recently upgraded to Inventor 2017.
I like the new design of interface. However, today I encounter an issue with drawing detail view.
In 2016 when I created a detail view, the view label with scale is always automatically placed above the view. Unfortunately I cannot achieve that in 2017, even if the "Label visibility" is toggled-on.
Is this a bug in the new version? Or is the command hidden somewhere else?

Install the hotfix 1 if you haven't yet.
My other suggestion would be to try the inventor reset utility
Two things come to mind.
The view label is there but far outside the sheet: drag the detail view outside the sheet, zoom out and see if anything else moves with your view (might be the label).
Show us the view label text. It might be that the view label is visible but there's no text in it, the view identifier and scale is not there, just empty text. It has been edited and all text removed from it.
