Inventor 2017 Assembly Triad Display Will Not Go Away

I have a small assembly and am having a issue with a Triad that will not go away. I understand that this was an issue on previous versions 2015 & 2016. I am on 2017. This Triad only appears on (1) and only at the assembly level not the piece part level (see attached). I have tried various commands that might remove it from display but those don't work. Any Ideas.

This has been a bug on multiple versions and they keep saying its fixed then find another case where it hasn't been..

The best you can do is ensure you have all updates for you version of Inventor..

If you do and its still not fixed then the bug is still not fixed for your specific case/dataset..

They don't seem to know whats caused it and no one knows the exact steps to duplicate the issue so they have been having a tough time fixing it.. (or so they say 🙂

Hi Brian,

The fix is included in 2018.2.3. We are in the process of porting the fix to prior releases.

Many thanks!

@Anonymous So looks like they "may have" finally fixed it..

You will just need to wait a bit while they push that fix into he older versions (2017 for you)...

Hi Brian,

We think we nail it this time. The workflow leads to the corruption is still not fully clear. But, we do have a way to prevent it from happening and also making the erroneous COG triad go away. I have tried all the known corruption cases and the behavior is consistent.

Many thanks!
